Ronald Wu

Senior Advisor

Ronald Wu is a senior Computer Science major at the University of California, Berkeley, widely regarded as the top public university in the United States and consistently ranked #1 for Computer Science. He has built a strong foundation in software engineering, systems, and applied problem-solving. Before Berkeley, Ronald graduated from the prestigious International School Myanmar (ISM), where he developed a rigorous academic background and an early passion for STEM.

Over the past three years, Ronald has mentored students applying to top universities in both the United States and internationally, with a focus on STEM applicants. He has helped students strengthen their technical profiles, refine their extracurricular narratives, and craft compelling applications that reflect both depth and initiative. His academic achievements include earning a perfect score on AP Computer Science A—one of 369 students globally to do so—along with AP Scholar with Distinction honors and top placements in international mathematics competitions.

In addition to admissions mentoring, Ronald brings strong technical and professional experience. He has worked as a software engineering intern at Uplifty AI, where he built full-stack infrastructure for a behavioral accountability platform using React, Flask, and SQLAlchemy, and at Base Technology, where he developed asynchronous Python applications. He has also been involved in education-focused initiatives such as Cloud at California. With a background that combines elite academics, competitive achievements, and real-world engineering experience, Ronald helps students position themselves for success in highly selective and technical fields.
